The work associated with this contract includes the signal system rehabilitation, track reconfiguration, and construction of enclosures for the Dyre Avenue and Morris Park interlockings on the Dyre Avenue Line of the New York City Transit System in the Borough of the Bronx. Additionally, the work includes the replacement of each existing Dyre Avenue and Morris Park interlocking with a new modern Solid State Interlocking (SSI).
The joint venture of Judlau Contracting, Inc., TC Electric, LLC, and J-Track, LLC will perform all design, furnishing and installation of signal equipment, direct all testing and place in-service signal equipment required to rehabilitate and modernize the signal systems at the existing interlockings. The work includes the design and construction of relay rooms and other rooms, signal work, architectural work, structural work, track work, traction power work, mechanical work, utilities work, electrical work, environmental work, communication and SONET/ATM work, fiber optic work, and removal work
The design, furnish and installation of all heating, lighting, ventilation, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), fire suppression and electrical services for the relay and all other rooms will be completed.
