

Design-Build Services for CBTC - Crosstown Line "B" Division in Brooklyn and Queens

CONTRACT VALUE: $405.7 Million
This Design-Build Contract entails the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of a wayside CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) system along the Crosstown Line - Covering 21 stations, 6 interlockings, and 30 miles of track. The system will be compatible with CBTC-equipped trains and integrate with New York City Transit’s (“NYCT”) existing automatic train supervision system for the “B” Division. It will replace the current fixed-block, relay-based system in use on the Crosstown Line. Additionally, the contract includes track replacement work on certain sections of the line, as well as the construction or fit-out of facilities to serve as train control rooms and house equipment for the new CBTC system.
