TCE understand the importance that vertical transportation, elevators and escalators, play in the upgrading of the NYCT infrastructure and have focused on this as a core competency. To successfully upgrade and deploy VT, an organization needs elevator and escalator expertise as well as electrical knowledge for the power feeds, communications for the backbone systems, and fire alarm for the monitoring of the shaft and EMRs. TCE has invested heavily in personnel with VT experience and has been part of teams that have deployed over a dozen elevators in the past 2 years, and are scheduled to do another dozen in the coming two years.  TCE know that all forms of ADA compliance, including VT upgrades, are essential for bettering the subway and we are focused on being a reliable, safe and high quality contractor to deliver these solutions.
